Although Hinderer’s pivots aren’t proprietary, finding an appropriate spanner bit is extremely difficult or costly (Hinderer Armorer’s Tool ~$150). This is often a deterrent for many who wish to perform maintenance/ cleaning on their Hinderers. As our personal tool of choice at Magna Knives, this spanner bit offers a cost effective solution which reduces marring, slip off and resultant damage to your Hinderers. Please note that due to minute differences (< 0.25mm) in pivot screw machining, this spanner bit may require some basic file work (see above images).
