Brian Nadeau’s Apex is the latest production model from SharpByDesign. Blurring the line between form and function, the Apex is not only a veritable workhorse, but also a treat for the eyes. The contoured Black PVD 6Al4V Titanium handle offers great ergonomics and an elegant hit of colour with anodised aluminium inlays. Equipped with a deep hollow ground and swedged S90V blade, this knife is a slicey edge retention fiend which means less time on the stone and less stress for the user. Brian’s distinguishing detent ‘knub’ is a novel take on folding knife detents which provides a satisfying detent break and fast deployment. Checking more boxes, the Apex features numerous deployment methods, a steel lockbar insert, 3D machined Titanium pocket clip, and hardened steel bearings. The perfectly dialled in spine jimping in conjunction with the flipper tab acting as a finger guard in the open position ensure that your hand stays where you want it to – on the handle.
